With ‘90s nostalgia at an all time high, it’s only fitting that the Made in the ‘90s concert receives a timely reboot in 2020 thanks to Delta Bravo Presents. Following two massive tours in 2011 and 2012, featuring the likes of ‘90s luminaries, Ralph Tresvant, 112, Jon B and Color Me Badd, amongst others, the 2020 edition promises a night of non stop hits and massive old school love.
Heading the line up is Grammy Winners, Blackstreet (“No Diggity”, “You Blow My Mind”) in their first ever Australian & New Zealand shows featuring their incredible band, hitmakers Next (“Too Close”, “Wifey”), Grammy Winners All-4-One (“I Swear”, “I Can Love You Like That”) in their first Aussie shows in a decade and for their first ever Kiwi shows, r&b singer and producer, Mario Winans (“I Don’t Wanna Know”) in his first ever shows on our shores and Renee Neufville, one half of the dynamic Zhané (“Hey Mr. DJ”). On the local tip, the line up is rounded out by local r&b legends, CDB (“Lets Groove”, “Hook Me Up”) in Australia and DJ Reminise in New Zealand. Hosting this spectacular trip down memory lane is none other than one of the voices of ‘90s R&B group 112, Q Parker.
Fans can expect full sets from all acts and over 4 hours of live r&b magic. Made in the ‘90s is back and an absolute must for any lover of the old school.
Since disrupting the musical landscape of R&B in the late 90’s and well into the new millennium with a string of charting hits including a pair of #1 singles, as well as delivering a multiplatinum debut album Rated Next, Next has solidified their place in music history. Their hits, “Too Close”, “Wifey” and “Butta Love” long remain as staples on r&b and club play lists. The group returns to Australia and New Zealand with their full show for the first time since 2005.
Blackstreet is one the most celebrated American r&b groups of all time. Their smash hit, “No Diggity”, long considered as one of the greatest r&b cross over tracks has become an anthem of a generation. The group now returns to Australia and New Zealand, and for the first time, with their band, to provide Aussie and Kiwi fans with a brand new, dynamic show focussing on their classic debut album, the hugely successful, “Another Level” album and highlights from their career.
If you’ve ever been in love, then you’ve heard the name All-4-One and their timeless songs “I Swear”, “I Can Love You Like That”, “So Much In Love”, “ I Turn To You”, and much more. The Grammy Award Winning group , has sold over 20 million albums and continue to release new music and tour the world as one of the r&b genre’s premier balladeers. They return to Australia for their first shows in a decade and will perform in New Zealand for the first time ever.
R&B singer, multi instrumentalist and producer Mario Winans is best known for his work on P.Diddy’s Bad Boy roster which also included his contributions to the classic “I Need A Girl - Part 2” and “Best Friend”, both as a featured artist with P. Diddy. As a solo artist, his debut album “Story of My Heart” was an instant r&b classic with his second album, “Hurt No More” spawning the worldwide smash hit, “I Don’t Wanna Know”. Mario Winans performs in Australia and New Zealand for the first time ever.
Combining R&B and soul with smooth vocal harmonies, CDB became Australia's first successful all-boy band, a la their international contemporaries. The group has enjoyed a recent resurgence with the release of 2017’s “Tailored For Now” with their live shows receiving rave reviews.
Q Parker is one of the voices of ‘90s R&B group, 112. As host of Made in the ‘90s expect Q to bring the party and lift the vibe along with some of those classic 112 tracks fans know and love, including “Only You”, “Peaches & Cream” and “Dance For Me”.
It is not hard to avoid the hits of Zhané on any r&b or old school playlist. “Groove Thang” and the classic, “Hey Mr. DJ” have long been fan favourites. Whilst the group split sometime ago, one half of the duo, Renee Neufville, continues to hold it down for the Zhané legacy.
